My name is Chrissie and I am a Mum of 2, currently on maternity leave from my full time job. I have started this blog because I am tired of the clutter and complications that come with life in modern day society.

I have recently discovered the minimalism movement and websites such as Becoming Minimalist and Zen Habits and am totally excited to start applying my ideas of a minimalist life looks like for my family.

What do I hope to achieve from adopting a minimalist lifestyle?
I want to simplify our lives, both from physical clutter, but also digital and mental clutter. Minimalist living doesn't mean sitting in a bare room with white walls, wearing nothing but a robe and eating eggs. It means many different things to each individual, but the basic idea is that you live with nothing other than what you need, use and find beautiful. I want to apply these basic principles to our physical surroundings, my digital life, schedule, finances, and emotional life.

What can you expect from The Simple Life Experiment?
On my blog you will find posts about my personal transformation from a chaotic, busy life to a minimalist life.
